I can't believe we are already a few days into October! WOW! This year sure is flying by, although I say that every year. It really seems like Summer just came and now it's already gone! I love the changes though. The leaves are beautiful colors and gliding in the air. We had our first rain on Friday and Saturday. So, rain=puddles and Maggie couldn't be happier!
Homeschooling is going great! In fact, it is going so well Maggie not only wants to do it Mon-Friday, she also wants it on Saturday and Sunday! I thought it was tough with my schedule to keep up 5 days a week, 7 is going to be tough! I think I have Saturdays figured out though. Saturday she has swimming lessons (field trip!) and we started going to the library yesterday too. So I think that will be a good routine during the cold weather.
This morning we sat down and snuggled on the couch in front of the fireplace and read our library books. Maggie wanted to do school so we put together this Nemo Lapbook. Once again I am so excited about doing these. I don't know who likes to do them more, me or Maggie. They are cute, easy and Maggie enjoys them for a long time after making them. Here is our project in progress:
I think the next one we do I will try to make my own. Yes, I am feeling brave! We have been doing a lot of talk about Autumn, Pumpkins and Harvest Time. So I am sure I can put something together!
After lunch we will be working on our October poster. Everything related to October will be put on the poster board and it will give us something to talk about and have fun putting together!
Maggie is begging to bundle up and go jump in puddles, so here we go!
